From there you can head on to visit Geysir, and the impressive Strokkur, which fires 100 degrees Celsius, sulfur-rich water up to 40 meters into the air. You will visit Gullfoss waterfall, the jewel in the crown of the Golden Circle. That’s not all, the waterfalls of Brúarfoss and Faxi are, whilst lesser-known, pretty special spots in this already incredible area.
There is much more to see and do in this region: Discover a variety of secret places, have delicious lunch in the famous tomato greenhouse Friðheimar, or stretch your legs in the geothermal waters of the Secret Lagoon.

In the nature reserve Skaftafell you can enjoy lush nature in an otherwise desert-like glacier landscape. The route takes you through idyllic fishing villages and finally to Iceland's largest forest area, Hallormsstaður, where the unique Hengifoss waterfall awaits you. Further along the road, you can visit Glaumbær Museum, where the peat-roofed farmhouses invite you to step back in time to Iceland’s more rural past. Also in this region, we will send you to a lesser-known waterfall, which has another surprise in store...
